I happen to agree with the health department that the partition is a good idea.

What were we thinking??? We were thinking that we have a winner here….and as this matter has resolved in our favour we were right…..currently The Pup N Cup Doggie Boutique Cafe is the only dog friendly cafe in western canada.
Our renos are complete, and even though we now offer a fully separated prep area,(unlike Wag in Ottawa which still operates with our original open plan design with the full approval OCRH), we are open, and with sold out events like oyr Friday night Dog Phsychic, Stupid pet tircks with Dean and James, Doggie first aid courses, ask a trainer night, and much much more…we are here to stay…and will soon be in a location near you!
Cheers and please join us @1391A Hillside Ave, Victoria BC

The Pup n Cup has a message on their machine saying that they have been shut down forever. I find this devastating, my friends and fellow dog owners would attend the pup n cup weekly to enjoy coffee while our dogs played and socialized in a safe environment. If the health department shut them down because of regulations having to do with the dogs being in the environment where coffee is served is it absolutely ridiculous and an insult to all pet lovers! People who have friends of the four legged nature understand the bond that is shared, we don’t bat an eyelash at having our pups inside an environment where coffee or food for that matter is served, if we had such a problem these animlas wouldn’t be allowed in our house or as members of the family for that matter. To all the people that came to the pup n cup for coffee and was offended by the dogs being allowed in the store….find somewhere one of the million other coffee shops to have a coffee and leave our damn pup n cup alone! Personally, I find it apalling that in Victoria dog owners can’t have one coffee shop to enjoy coffee while letting our pups run and play.
