Andrew on PBN Friday

April 16th, 2007 · No Comments · Retail Coffee Industry, Tips

My friends at PBN Friday with Howard Dicus were kind enough to forward my March 23rd appearance mentioned in this this previous blog entry.

So for everyone that missed the first airing, it’s your luck day. For anyone that may be going on a local television interview in the near future, I have the following recommendations:

  1. Speak slowly – it will feel unnaturally slow, but comes out sounding pretty good.
  2. Have a simple point – you’ve probably got 4-5 minutes at most to get your point across, keep it simple and hammer it home.
  3. Don’t slouch – oh well, at least you can see that I’m trying.
  4. Maintain eye contact with your host and the camera – Whoops, shouldn’t have been starting at all of that stuff on the table.
  5. Still, overall I rate it as officially “not bad.”
