But the bad aspect is that once they have caved to Illinois on selling it there.. You know the next step is, that they will demand that the "Promotion" of it will need to be Blocked as well. Just viewing the advert for Meth Coffee, could cause users to want to try the real thing.. so.. You know they will next be calling for some way to block it from being seen in that state.

Then from that point, it is only a small step before all sorts of things are being demanded Not to be viewable in their state...

Chalk one more up for the government.

Drug addiction has devastated this country. The painful effects of drug addiction are felt by the friends and family of every addict. However, I think that we may be acting a little too sensitively and are judging too quickly. This company is merely using humor in their marketing. If you take the time to read the packaging and labeling on the product you would clearly understand this. Here we are severely damaging the sales of a small business because we are offended by the use of the word “Meth” on a product that is clearly a being used in a spoof. I do not use any drugs other than caffeine by the means of coffee. I’ve tried this coffee and it was really smooth. In no way does this coffee contain any harmful or illegal additives.

Try spell check. Actually, it wouldn't have caught "heroine." You might want to read up on the correct way to punctuate as well.

As reported by the Chicago Tribune, Meth and the AG have come to an agreement:

http://blogs.chicagotribune.com/news_columnists_ezorn/2008/08/update-meth-cof.html

Meth Coffee agrees not to sell coffee in Illinois and the AG agrees to declare victory, having saved State residents from a legal and harmless product. Good going!

I can hear the "not legal in Illinois" stickers being printed now...

I agree completely; was going to include that point, but it was way too late at night. There was another article that I read out there somewhere that made the comment "it is unclear how much (if any) Meth Coffee is sold in the State of Illinois." How cool would be it to add "not legal for sale in some States" to your label!

This made the news... Sounds like the AG played right into the coffe amkers hands. Great advertising for a product that would have just "dripped" away. Jokes on the AG if you ask me.
