We’re pleased to announce our support of and participation in the 2007 Wish-A-Mile Bicycle tour July 26-29, raising awareness and funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan.
The Wish-A-Mile 300 Bicycle Tour is a 3-day, 300-mile bicycle ride from Traverse City to Chelsea. Last year’s event included 600 riders that raised more than $900,000 to benefit the charity – this year’s goal is $1 million.
Donations from the event go to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, a nonprofit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Since its inception in 1984, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan has granted wishes to more than 4,700 special children.
In this year’s tour, Andrew Hetzel and his team of 10 similarly conditioned (out-of-shape) athletes from around the globe will peddle their way across Michigan to benefit the charity. Individual or company donations to the charity are greatly appreciated and can be made anytime online at our team website. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. As such, financial contributions may be deductible for federal income tax purposes. Please consult with your financial advisor to determine the extent of tax deductibility.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss corporate sponsorship opportunities, fund matching or donation boxes at your retail stores. Corporate sponsors will receive our thanks and additional visibility on our team shirts, press releases and any press coverage at the event.
