The Hawaii coffee growing district of Ka’u is making an effort to be recognized as a distinct and separate origin from Kona with the announcement of the Ka’u Coffee Festival, this April 24-26 in Pahala on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Sadly, despite living only a couple of hours (drive, not fly) away, I will not be able to attend this year, but friend and world renown roaster Miguel Meza will be there leading cupping workshops on Sunday, April 26th.
