The Specialty Coffee Association of America has dramatically stepped up efforts in the past few months to communicate events and activities within the organization through the SCAA Chronicle blog, presumably from the recent addition of dedicated marketing manager Tara Shenson.

Being a member for some 8 or 9 years now, I can tell you that there have often been great initiatives and programs underway at the association but more often than not, I found out about them only the the following year’s annual conference. It is really great to see a steady stream of current and upcoming events now originating from Long Beach, which I see will greatly improve the value of my membership.
