Andrew Hetzel to Talk Robusta at 10th Let’s Talk Coffee

I’m delighted to announce that this year’s 10th annual Let’s Talk Coffee conference and training event in Medellin, Colombia will feature a first-ever session on fine robusta coffees co-presented by the venerable Dr. Sunalini Menon of Coffeelab Private Ltd. from Bangalore and yours truly, Andrew Hetzel. The session, titled “Let’s Talk Robusta,” will give a comprehensive overview of the up-and-coming fine robusta coffee movement, discuss its standards, sensory evaluation techniques and market potential.

The event, organized each year by the relationship coffee experts at Sustainable Harvest, is a forum where representatives from all areas of coffee, from producers to buyers, importers, exporters roasters and baristas come together to discuss leading edge topics affecting their industry.

In addition to the session on robusta, I, along with Dr. Menon and Mr. Vinko Sandalj of Sandalj Trading from Trieste will collaboratively present a lecture on the state of sustainable coffee consumption in emerging consumer markets.

The 4-day conference held in the Colombia’s ‘comeback kid’ city of Medellin has an impressive lineup of speakers and topics and will be a great chance to interact with other coffee professionals from around the globe. It’s really something not to be missed so I hope to see you there!
